Extra Credit

11-19-13
I am very passionate about volleyball. I am playing with a competitive league named coast which is very intense. I am playing for wither there local team or there regional 3 team depending on how fast they fill up. My goal is to get on the regional 3 team because it has better players. Volleyball is so much fun to me, and  love going to practices. The fact that you can do it almost anywhere is so cool and fun! I enjoy volleyball very much, and hopefully i can do it in high school!

In less than a week I am going to be celebrating Thanksgiving! Its seemed so far away until we only  had one more day until break. I am so excited to see all of my family and have a big dinner with them. I haven't seen my cousins since school started, which is a long time for us. Hopefully, after thanksgiving I can go back with them to L.A. and spend a few days with them. I am so excited!

Book Project #2
"The Fault in Our Stars"

Theme(s): I believe that the theme of "The Fault in Our Stars" is how love overpowers struggle and hardship.

Key Events supporting the theme: Hazel Grace, who is diagnosed with lung cancer meets a boy named Augustus Waters at a cancer support group. Hazel, often read the fictional memoir of an account of a young women battling cancer. The book cuts off at the end, as if the main character, died or got to sick to continue. Hazel made it her duty to find out the ending, but after many emails to the author and no real answers she introduced the book to Augustus. Augustus who had cancer, and had not yet used his wish from the wish granting factory, wished for a trip for him and Hazel a trip to go meet the author. On  there trip, they fell in love with each other, and although, they got no actual answers from the author they still had a great time. When they arrived home, Augustus's cancer spread, throughout his body and he passed away. You can see that there love overpowered there struggle and hardship, because even though they were both diagnosed with cancer they were able to ignore that and just have fun with each other.
